Jamie Oshiomah
School Social Worker
Jaime Castonguay joined Designs for Learning in August 2023 as a School Social Worker. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Social Work with a minor in Business Administration from North Central University (2020) and earned her Social Work licensure through the Minnesota Board of Social Work that same year.
Before joining Designs, Jaime spent three years as a School Social Worker in charter schools. She also dedicated five years as a volunteer youth mentor with the Timber Bay Youth Mentorship Program. Jaime also holds a certificate in Improving Cultural Competency from Think Cultural Health, which she applies in her work with students and families from diverse cultural backgrounds.
Passionate about supporting both neurotypical and neurodiverse students from Pre-K through 12th grade, Jaime approaches her work through a trauma-informed lens. She has facilitated a range of student support groups focused on social-emotional development, behavioral regulation, and grief support, and she regularly designs group programming tailored to the unique needs of each school district she serves.
Outside of her professional role, Jaime enjoys traveling, spending time with family, lifting, biking, and listening to podcasts.
