Mark Krug

Mark Krug joined Designs for Learning in July 2016 and brings over four decades of experience in education, with a primary focus on Special Education for students with significant behavioral challenges. After beginning his career in Texas, he relocated to the Twin Cities and spent more than 20 years with Intermediate District 916, serving in various roles including Teacher, Behavior Specialist, Due Process Specialist, and Administrator overseeing related services. He later served as Director of Special Services for the Owatonna School District for seven years.

He holds a BA in Elementary and Special Education from the University of Northern Iowa, a Master of Arts in Education from Saint Mary's University, and an administrative license from the University of Minnesota. In addition, Mark is a Qualified Neutral, trained in dispute resolution and mediation.

I travel, read, and am a life-long runner with a quest to run at least one mile in every state by the time I turn 70.
