Ryan VanAlstine

Ryan VanAlstine joined the Designs for Learning team in June 2026 as an IT Specialist, bringing a strong background in technology support and a passion for helping schools leverage technology to enhance teaching and learning.

In his role, Ryan provides responsive technical support to school staff and students, helping ensure classrooms have the reliable technology they need to succeed. During the summer months, he supports multiple schools with device inventory, repairs, and technology projects to prepare for the new school year.

Before joining Designs for Learning, Ryan provided technology support for Minneapolis Public Schools, Wayzata Public Schools, and Osseo Public School District, following an earlier career with Best Buy. He also took time away from the workforce to be a stay-at-home dad while his wife completed graduate school. With their son now in elementary school, Ryan was excited to return to a career in educational technology.

Ryan earned his degree in Web Design from Saint Paul College, combining technical expertise with a commitment to providing exceptional service to schools.
