Sally Poesch
Physical/Heath Disabilities Teacher
Sally Poesch joined Designs for Learning in 2018 bringing over 45 years of experience in special education, with expertise in supporting students with physical and health-related disabilities. She earned a B.A. in Special Education from the University of Iowa and a Master of Education in Special Education from the University of Minnesota. Her licensure areas include Physical/Health Disabilities and Developmental Cognitive Disabilities (DCD). Although Sally's focus is on students with Physical Impairments, she also has experience in Other Health Disabilities and Traumatic Brain Injury.
Sally has served as both a classroom and itinerant teacher, working with students from early childhood through age 22/Transition. Since retiring from full-time teaching in 2018, she remains committed to helping students achieve functional independence and long-term success.
Outside of work, Sally enjoys walking, riding her e-bike, and spending time with family and on hobbies such as knitting and crocheting.
